Programs at Kean Elementary School in Wooster, Ohio

Academic programs and social activities at Kean Elementary School go hand in hand with the community-based system for seeing the big picture in education.
Kean’s Pint-Sized Heroes Blood Drive
As part of the Pint-Sized Heroes Blood Drive, Kean students engage in a service project and learn about the importance of blood donation in the society. They are exposed to Kean’s role in the community as a center where adults like parents can come and donate blood to help other people who need blood transfusions. While the children are too young to donate blood, they can share the information they learn and encourage people who are eligible to take an active part in Kean’s blood drive.
Kean students take a bow
As they wait for the music to start, talent show participants do not look nervous. When the show begins, the students belt out their renditions of hit songs, dance routines and skits in front of fellow students and guests who return roaring applause. They display their abilities during the annual school talent event that attracts parents and many other people in the community. Plus, teachers get to know students better. Kean is poised to encourage life skills in all areas of students' lives.
The Kean Elementary School website
The student and parent accessible website permits anytime viewing of homework, progress reports and upcoming school events. Teachers’ contact information is posted for communication 24/7.
Supporting Kean Elementary School is to join and promote the continuing commitment to a successful educational process in which every student can take pride.
