Hospice & Palliative Care of Greater Wayne County needs volunteers. We need volunteers to help us provide compassionate, quality care to the members of our community in the last months of their lives. We have grown a lot over the last year and in order to keep our care very personal and individualized, we need a lot of people-power.

Specifically we need volunteers willing and able to do one or more of the following things:

• Share music with patients who love music.

• Provide companionship for patients who are lonely.

• Stay with a patient for a few hours so family members can get some rest or run errands.

• We are also interested in having more volunteers with certified therapy pets to visit patients who would enjoy that opportunity.

Hospice provides training for persons who are interested in finding out if hospice work is for them. Taking the training does not obligate you to this work.
