Where Is Wooster, Ohio?

Wooster, Ohio is located in the northeastern region of the state just off of US 71. This small town is not much more than 26,000 people, but it is full of history and culture as well as several industries and the College of Wooster.
Location
Wooster is about 50 miles south-southwest of Cleveland and 35 miles southwest of Akron. It is almost equal in distance between Cleveland and Columbus. It is the largest city in Wayne County with a total area of 14.4 square miles. Located very close to Amish country, Wooster features some of the state’s best agricultural land.
How to get to Wooster
In order to get to Wooster from the east or west, drive there on US 30; it goes right outside of town. From the north or south, go on US 83, and exit where it intersects with US 30.
What to do when you get to Wooster
When you arrive in Wooster, you can take advantage of its numerous cultural events, such as the Ohio Light Opera and the Wooster Symphony Orchestra. You can also walk in Spangler Park, also known as Wooster Memorial Park. It has seven miles of hiking trails. If you have children, they are sure to love the playgrounds at Christmas Run Park, while older children are sure to enjoy the skating park at Schellin Park.
Since 1808, Wooster has offered small-town living with the best of small-town values. It is easy to get there from any of the major metropolitan cities in Ohio when you want to take a break from the hustle and bustle of the big cities.
